Terms & Conditions
Please read our terms of service carefully before accepting a quote or commencing a project.
1. Quotes
The quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
All quote acceptance has to come in writing, with a deposit payable before a job can be commenced.
All quotes are subject to final inspection.
1.1 Colours
Unless otherwise specified, your quote include standard colours.
- Sectional / Roller doors - Only standard colour-bond colours included in quote.
- Custom gates / Bar Grille Doors - Dulux Duralloy colours included in quote.
Any colours outside these ranges will incur additional costs.
1.2 Exclusions
- Quotes do not include electrical power points for motor-installation purposes. Clients should use a licensed electrician.
- Unless otherwise stated, the quote does not include fascia's or infills.
- Unless otherwise stated, concreting or other ground works are NOT included in this Quote.
2. Deposit and Payment
A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of this quote, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Goods will not be ordered until a deposit is received by Entry Solutions.
2.1 Payment Terms
2.1.1 Residential: Full payment to be received the day prior to installation, at the absolute latest.
2.1.2 Commercial: Within 30 days from completion of job.
2.2 Retention of Title
All products remain the property of Entry Solutions until fully paid for (being within Personal Property Securities Act 2009).
2.3 Security of Payment Act 2002 (Vic)
Compliance: This contract does not in any way exclude rights provided for under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002.
All payments are pursuant to section 14 of the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002.
2.4 Interest on Unpaid Accounts
An interest rate of 10% p.a. will be charged on all unpaid accounts from the invoice due date pro-rata (Penalties and Interest Act 1983).
2.5 Disputes
Such have been governed by the law of Victoria. The parties will agree to resolve disputes by mediation before hereafter referring to litigation.
3. Timeframes for Install
3.1 Residential: Approximately 4 – 6 weeks. Pending supplier lead-times *Subject to change during peak periods.
3.2 Commercial: 6 – 8 weeks from shop drawing approval, payment of deposit or otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Delays & Storage
4.1 Client-Requested / Client Caused Delays
Beyond 14 days of the timeframes listed above [POINT 3]: A storage fee of $50 + GST per day will apply until installation is completed.
4.2 Abandonment of Goods
If installation is delayed by the client for 90 days or more and outstanding fees remain unpaid:
- The goods will be considered abandoned.
- Ownership reverts to Entry Solutions [POINT 2.2], and the client forfeits all rights to the deposit and goods.
- Disposal or resale of goods may occur without further notice.
4.3 Notification
Storage fees will be clearly itemised and communicated in writing. Clients may avoid storage fees by confirming a new installation date within 7 days of the original scheduled date.
4.4 Force Majeure
Delays caused by extreme weather, supplier issues, or other uncontrollable events will not incur storage fees.
5. Warranties
5.1 Residential: A 12 months warranty on workmanship is provided which covers parts and labour. Motors are covered by a manufacturer's warranty, subject to annual servicing by an Entry Solutions Technician.
5.2 Commercial: All commercial warranties are subject to the door / gate being serviced by an Entry Solutions Technician as per our warranty statement.
5.3 General Warranty Terms: All warranty work will be completed during our regular office hours - Mon - Friday, 8am - 4pm. Subject to technician availability.
5.4 Warranty Exclusions
The following is not covered by warranty:
- Damage from: corrosive environments (such as salt air), water or flooding, damage caused by animals, misuse, vandalism, general wear and tear.
- No warranty on existing parts or systems.
- Work that has been altered or repaired by a 3rd party.
- Manual locks on automatic doors.
6. Installations and Repairs
6.1 Clear Access
A 3.5 M clearance radius is required to carry out repairs and installation of a new door and / or motor. Failure to provide such space will incur a rebooking fee of $350+ GST.
6.2 Site Accessibility
Due to the complexity of some installs and repairs, the property may be inaccessible while we perform repairs and installations.
6.3 Safety Products
Safety beams recommended on all installs (extra charges may apply).
7. Client Responsibilities
7.1 Underground Utilities: The client is responsible for locating and marking underground utilities for any installs that require digging.
7.2 Permits: The client is responsible for securing all necessary permits and approvals from the council.
8. Acceptance
By accepting this quote, you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions above.
